A Sweet Sisterhood

Today is National Doughnut Day, and our sister Sarah has an Alpha Xi Delta memory related to the sweet treat:

sarahI moved into the Alpha Xi Delta house at the beginning of Spring semester this past year. I was very nervous at first because most of the girls are older than me and they all had been living there together for a semester already, but they welcomed me with open arms and stomachs (we like food). One of my favorite memories of living in the house was the second or third weekend. It was a late Friday night and most people were busy or already asleep, but a couple of the other girls and I decided to go for a drive. We just drove without really stopping, and then all of the sudden we stumbled on this adorable little random donut shop. Before we even got out of the car we were overwhelmed by the smell. There we were in our sweats at 11:30 PM at this little donut shop buying out the entire fresh glazed batch. It’s the little things like having people to spontaneously get donuts with that makes sisterhood so worth it. Needless to say, soon everyone in the house was making late night donut runs on a regular basis.
